Hmm, I'm struggling with it I must admit.

Just NO, that grille is just wayyy OTT, the car might look respectable with it being smaller. These past few years BMW have completely lost the plot with their styling IMO with some models, or is clunky and ugly the new streamlined and beautiful !

At this rate those kidney grilles are going to be larger than the Audi fence they have on the front of their cars. New 8 series is the same. Yuk.

Assuming the final look will be a little more rounded (quite literally I think), I actually like it.

Looks promising. Imho it will finally aesthetically compete with Audi's Q7, which I feel wins hands down from the current X5.

    I'll better start saving...

IMO it just looks grotesque. I'm not a fan of 4x4's anyway - just don't need that form of transport.

Haven't they got enough X series without having to introduce another model?

    YMMV of course. ;)

@kleynie , check out the pan roof. It's pretty cool.

Yeah, but it doesn't open, which makes it useless to me.

I see. I assumed it would open. How do you know it doesn't?

The Pano roof is so large where would the glass go if it did open? Maybe stick out of the back like a diving board? A useful accessory for those owners with a swimming pool. :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

To my eyes it looks like one of those cars that used to be made in China. Can't remember the name though.

Just had another look, bloody hell that's one ugly car.

Here's a more traditional looking artist's impression of it.

    Looking good too :)

    But not as groundbreaking.

That does look a lot nicer than the first image, as far as a 4x4 goes.

That's much better... ignore the grille and lights and you've got an X5, sorted (y)

The first picture... If I was driving a BMW like that, I'd put a paper bag over my head when I got out, hide my embarrassment.:cautious:

If it really reflects BMW's latest design language, not going to be a fan of it at all. Those grilles.(n)

Second picture looks far better, grilles still too prominent, IMO.
