    Hi all,

Just bought some car cleaning stuff and inside the box was a flyer for Waxstock 2017 (https://www.waxstock.com/) just wondering if anyone has been to any of these before and if any good?

According to flyer is on at Ricoh Area, coventry on 23rd July.

I went a few years ago (it was in Peterborough)
I came home with bucket loads of kit so take some spending money! Worth a trip if you're into that sort of thing

Thanks, i believe there is meant to be a stand selling things cheaper and if anything is left at the end, you can make offers etc as they don't want to take any of it back.

waxstock is for cleaning obsessives if you think some of us are bad then waxstock will be a real eye opener

I did think of going as i have family in coventry but i would be tempted by the show offers and buy lots of stuff that i don't realy need

Is it one of those where the vehicle owners put mirrors around on the ground so that folk can see the underside?

Align your priorities and dial a holiday
Then kiss good bye to free monies and spare time.

It's a slippery slop, in reality the cleaner it is, the dirtier it looks

Is that like "less is more"? ;) :p

The up side of our 'addiction' is that my MOT guy always says it's a pleasure to work on my car - clean = Brownie points (y)

Happens to me all the time... at least in the Highlands the car will get a 'natural' wash for free.

I've always cleaned the car before taking it to a garage on the assumption that it will be treated with more respect by the mechanics. Misguided?

Got any fields of oilseed rape near you ? That's the very Devil at this time of year, slightest breath of wind and the stuff's everywhere.

How far up are you heading? If you get within shouting distance, you're welcome to call for a brew [have friends visiting, but they have their caravan on the local CL site, so movement(s) are a bit unpredictable.] Be good to put a face to a user-name though. (y)

I don't believe so, although it'll obviously depend on the calibre of the mechanic technician. ;)

I do, every morning when I hear on the radio about traffic jams, road rage etc. Folk here don't so much park their cars, they just abandon them.......:D
Worst you're likely to get up here [from a local] is a scowl of disapproval.........

    Sorry John missed this!
We stayed at Ardtower caravan Park, in Culloden
Great & Best intention put to waste, was up all night with child, sore head and sickness, ended up packing up and coming down the road...... grrrr! Poor lads feverish laid up on sofa caressing a sick bowl!

I think the problem I have is the new Aberdeen by pass, constant movement of dirt and unusually dry conditions, shall be glad when it's finished, having to snowfoam every wash to clear the grit / silica

Poor mite!! Hope he gets over it soon - they bounce back quickly though. Another time, perhaps.

How long before they get clear of the b/pass - seems like I've been hearing of it for ages, and it had a long way to go when I was on a bit of it last time down.
