Fully expecting to get stiffed given price hikes all round, my renewal has actually gone down from £521 to £406! First time this has ever happened, normally have to shop around like everyone else. I'll still do it anyway but pleasantly surprised all the same!

    Who's that with?

I was with Admiral but they just put mine up by 50% (£1007 but reduced to £881 after a phone call ) so i switched to Hastings... a shade over £600 for both cars :)

Admiral as well. I just can't get my head around it to be honest, it just doesn't add up.

My sentiments entirely... suppose those TV ad's must cost a pretty penny... but they reduced yours!

I got a really good deal from Legal and General, who I have stayed with for 3 years now, I pay just over £250 pa - I do have a full no claim bonus, but that was far cheaper than my previous insurer Churchill. I do live in Devon which no doubt helps, but my car is an E61 530D, which must be quite a high insurance rating. I was surprised because I have never thought of L&G as being that competitive - their House and contents insurance is very reasonable too!

That must have been a nice surprise. I can't say that has ever happened to me, although I was with LV a few years as their renewals were always reasonable, until last year when they suddenly bumped it up. So well done! (y)

Recently had my renewal notice through. Came in a little above last year but basically that was down to the hike in IPT only, the base price was unchanged. It was also cheaper than the best the meerkats and that opera singer could do and is a more complete package, accounts for all the extras, etc. No brainer to stay with them for another year.
